Review

A suspenseful and action-packed packed conclusion to the latest story in the saga of the Umbrella Academy. Complete with a shocking conclusion which could change everything we know.

Gerard Way has made this series one of the most interesting so far, starting with a slow crawl and developing into an explosive conclusion. In this final issue, the heroes are put into possibly the most hopeless situation of their lives as The City is being attacked by all of their greatest villains; concluding in a mind-blowing reveal that both hints at a bit if the history of the world of The Umbrella Academy and raises many questions about the past, present, and future.

Bá’s art is showcased in multiple great panels and splash pages throughout the issue. From intimate scenes of the Academy finally reunited, to wide frame shots of city destruction; both Bá’s line work and Filardi’s emotional colors really shine in this issue.

This was a dramatic and exciting conclusion to an awesome third volume of the Umbrella Academy saga. One of the best issues of the series so far.

Final Thoughts

An outstanding conclusion to a standout series. Dramatic art and a fantastic story make this one of the series' best issues.
