Recap

***This review contains spoilers for recent issues of Uncanny X-men***

The X-men defend Fort Syndergaard from Frost Giant forces in defense of 300 refugees, but Frost Giants aren't the only thing hunting X-men!

Review

A somewhat skippable tie in that somehow manages to feel like it’s taking liberties with its time in a 3 issue series. That said there are some fun moments like Cyclops sniping giants through a telescope, I’m not a big X-men reader is that a thing he did before it seems like he would just blow up the telescope since his blasts aren’t light based they’re force based (as is my understanding having read X-men from it’s inception through the mid 70s, things may have changed) but I’m maybe probably overthinking it.

I didn’t mind this issue much, it just didn’t have much impact and the use of a few characters (like Rahne and Chamber) who are *spoiler * dead in the main series severely annoyed me. I liked the Multiple Man army and Havok playing mortar essentially with Banshee on air support, it felt like a solid team book if nothing else.

The art by Pere Perez and Rachelle Rosenberg is decent especially in some action scenes but I have a hard time telling what’s going on when Havok’s power is used. Nothing truly damning just a bit noteworthy. Also Multiple Man clubbing Frost Giant Dogs with a bat might trigger some more sensitive folk.

Final Thoughts

All in all fairly skippable but definitely has a couple fun moments.
