Recap

War Scrolls once again features 3 short stories involving Daredevil taking his feud with Kingpin to a whole new level, Doctor Strange taking a nap and Hulkling and Wiccan finding out Loki's fate way back in WOTR #1!

Review

All 3 stories were varying degrees of fine to good, but it’s really annoying how late in the event this is coming out while appearing to take place across the board between WOTR #1 and #2, which would have been great maybe 2 months ago. By now we’ve moved on and what little new information is provided is irrelevant.

The art is all good and carries the issue a little but not enough to make it more than passably interesting at this point in the event. I mean it’s really good though, Andrea Sorrentino on Daredevil, Eternity in Nightmares Realm and the splash page of Loki talking to Wiccan are all excellent.

I did want to say the Hulkling and Wiccan story jumped around in a confusing way that made it a bit hard to follow, but after flipping back and forth 3 or 4 times and getting the progression down it made for a decent epilogue for Loki, albeit a month later than I might have liked.

Final Thoughts

I really don't want to seem like I'm being unfair to this issue as the creators have no control on when it comes out for the most part, it wasn't delayed that I recall.
