One can image when you angers the Gods there will be hell to pay. In this case it was literal. Hera sends Yara to Tartarus for her betrayal. Yara fights her way out of hell, to find the help of old friends that can fly. Donna and Cassie find themselves at the doors of the Gods.
Review
The story continues about Yara finding what’s true. I especially like her dialog with Eros. It very much mimic a toxic narcissistic partner. Eros was definitely was mansplaining a bit. I guess to his credit he is a Greek god.
Joelle did not disappointment me, she brought back an old friend of ours. I was sadden when Jerry was taken from us. He makes his epic return, which mean my inner self while reading scream “YASSSS.”
The story feel big to Amazon world, I think it will change the Amazon nation forever in cannon comics. I feel big things are coming. We may be getting more Amazon stories outside of Wonder Woman? Which hey, sign me up. I love Wonder Woman and all things Amazonian.
Kudos to Joelle, I am hooked into this story, I look forward to it each month. It’s usually the first book I reach for.
The art remains to be beautiful. The Giant was innovative art, making his veins glow with energy make it horrifying but also really beautiful. The panels of Tartarus was horrifying in the best way possible.
Final Thoughts
Wonder Girl continues to be the must read Amazon book at the moment. It feel it has the ability to change the Amazon nation forever.
