X-Force #20: Party Crashers Not Allowed!

In the second part of this extravagant Hellfire Gala, we see more of the perspectives of our driven members of X-Force. We only got a glimpse of Quentin in the previous issue, and now get to see more from his point of view like his judgement of certain guests at the event. 

With a wonderful surprise, Percy brings us our favorite Merc with a Mouth! Deadpool greets Logan with his intentions of crashing the Hellfire Gala. Logan doesn’t tolerate his bullshit of wanting to enter uninvited, and they intensely fight. Domino is able to sense the disturbance and luckily, where it might be and comes to Logan’s aid. 

Emma surprises Sage with a drink. What I love about this interaction is that we see that in everything that happens on Krakoa, it will not get past her finding out. I love that she doesn’t reveal how she knows, and it makes readers wonder what else she must know about X-Force.

When Sage dives in to call off the fungal system, we see it taking over a human guest at the party. She then announces in shock that they have been hacked. Now if Sage is stressed out then I’m going to be stressed alongside her. 

Cassara and Guru-eFX give us a beautiful full page shot of many of the guests at the Gala. We get to experience a phenomenal range of what this pairing can bring. Especially with the cold stare Emma gives Beast you can absolutely feel her picking up on what the team is up to with her expression alone. I love the execution this creative team shows with how much of an influence Emma has on this Gala. I would like to see this duo draw Emma more often.
