Reminiscence: Neon Neo-Noir

By Rob PriceAugust 21, 2021Leave a comment

Reminiscence

Like an old Bogart movie, Nick narrates the film with a somber dark tone reminiscent of Sam Spade in the Maltese Falcon, and Mae is the classic “Femme Fatale”. The dialogue has a classic rhythm to it and even the costumes seem to allude to the 1940s.

By Rob PriceAugust 15, 20211 Comment

This is one of those amazing film series that every time I watch it instantly takes me back to my childhood and early adult years. It is hard for me to fathom that Raiders of the Lost Ark turned 40 this past June.

Werewolves Within

, I have loved the idea that right under the surface of the seemingly civilized, there is a monster clawing to get out and that good people can be monsters in the right circumstances and even more to the point, sometimes monsters look and act like good people.

Batman: The Long Halloween Part 2

This really is the story of Harvey Dent’s journey into madness. It is a tale of the darkness within him being forced to come out.
