Marvel announces that the Werewolf by Night returns to the pages of comics this Fall, teaming with Elsa Bloodstone in a new adventure. Werewolf By Night #1 features writing from Derek Landy and art by Fran Galán, and borrows the aesthetic of last year’s Disney+ special, switching between black and white and colored sections of the story.
The oversized one-shot focuses on Jack Russell working to stop the sacrifice of a young girl by a group of monsters, which Elsa Bloodstone is on the hunt for. Similar to the MCU Halloween special, their paths will cross and make for unexpected allies in the quest to stop the monsters. No word if the duo will be joined by fellow mystical characters like Man-Thing, Moon Knight, or Doctor Strange.
Both Bloodstone and Russell have been busy across the Marvel Universe, making appearances in last year’s Crypt of Shadows anthology. Russell has also appeared in a few issues of the current Moon Knight run, playing a major role in Khonsu’s story in the pages of annual #1.
