Earlier today a post on Twitter that shows an all-new clip of the upcoming Yu Yu Hakusho OVA was released and the clip might be short but it should be more than enough for any fan to get excited. With only a 13 seconds long run time the clip pulls no punches, literally, when it shows Hiei using his trademark Dragon of the Darkness Flame.
Just in case your not familiar with the manga turned anime Yu Yu Hakusho tells the story of a 14-year-old Yusuke Urameshi who suddenly finds himself dead, having died pushing a child out of the way of oncoming traffic. Since he has such a bad personality, even the Spirit World was caught by surprise that he would sacrifice himself. Yusuke soon finds out he wasn’t supposed to die and has a chance for resurrection and bringing his body back to life. After being resurrected, Yusuke becomes a Spirit Detective, along with his comrades, one adventure after another happens, whether it be an investigation or a fighting tournament.
As of last week the anime series has released two new specials the first being “Two Shots” a bonus chapter from the seventh manga volume which told the story of how Kurama and Hiei met and the second being about the manga’s penultimate chapter “All or Nothing, featuring the main characters reuniting to solve a hostage crisis in the spirit world. But those specials we’re nowhere near enough for fans, who are now gonna have to wait for the next OVA that has been promised for quite some time.
Not much is know about this new OVA other then it’s slated to be released sometime before 2019 and that the design style is more refined, so it will look better than ever.
