ANIME WATCH: A Real Life Reindeer For A Real Life ONE PIECE Show.

Indeed assembles a live-action Straw Hat Pirates crew from One Piece in new commercial

Who better then a reindeer can help someone find a job, no one that’s who and Indeed Japan know this. At the very end of 2018 job search engine, Indeed Japan came together with One Piece for a commercial that premiered on December 31. This commercial advertisement stars the Straw Hat Pirates with an actual reindeer on a cliff in a stormy sea singing a little sea shanty like only they can.

The Indeed website features the pirate crew with more about the characters’ preferred jobs and listings to work with them. Chopper is looking for an assistant to recreate the Hiriluk’s cherry blossoms in Tokyo as they appeared in episode 86 of the anime series. The listing goes on to say that it’ll take a lot of manpower to make cherry blossoms bloom in the winter time but that the “Jolly Roger flag can make the impossible, possible.”

Besides the real-life reindeer that is playing Tony Tony Chopper the advertisement sports a wonderful range of people to bring the iconic pirates to life. Nami is played by the lovely model Rika Izumi, Luffy is front row center played by model Takumi Saitoh with Zoro played by actor Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, Usopp, the long-nosed pirate is played by comedian Daigo and Sanji is played by actor Yosuke Kubozuka.

Recently optioned for a live-action TV series with Hollywood taking the reins (pun intended) of the project, no network has been tapped to premier the show and no production start date has been released, but the rumor mill has been hard at work with reports that the “East Blue” saga is where the series starts.

Written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since July 22, 1997, and has been collected into 91 tankobon volumes. The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the world’s ultimate treasure known as “One Piece” in order to become the next Pirate King. One Piece is a worldwide critical and commercial success with many of the volumes breaking printing records in Japan and has even set a Guinness World Record for the most copies published for the same comic book by a single author. One piece has also earned the title of best-selling manga series worldwide with over 430 million copies sold.
