Spotify will now be raising the roof with Archie comics so you can watch while you listen.
Spotify just added motion comics to their already prodigious library with the six-episode video series of Archie comics being adapted from the 2015 reboot of the classic comic book characters by Mark Waid and Fiona Staples, with the translation between media being handled by Madefire. The first six issues will all get their own motion comic episodes and they’re coming with everything we could possibly ask for from voice acting to music that will be complementary to the sequential art. These episodes were made to shine on mobile devices so we can watch the Riverdale gang on the go.
It’s easy to see that Archie comics are excited about the joint venture with Spotify when Archie Comics Publisher/CEO Jon Goldwater said, “Archie has always been about trying to find new ways to get comics to fans and readers. And when the opportunity to work with Spotify arose, it was a perfect match. Being able to reposition these modern classics for new readers in this unique, motion comic format makes perfect sense and we can’t wait for fans to experience these beloved Archie stories in a new way.”
And best of all the first episode is available to watch right now on Spotify so go on ahead and catch up with the Riverdale gang.
