Sasha Braus is one of the most beloved characters in Attack on Titan’s story. And a lot of people may find that strange. From the start, Sasha may seem like a pure comic relief character who is defined by food and is known as a potato girl. It has been seen as her defining characteristic. But many may assume that Sasha was just there to be comic relief when her role has a great deal of importance.
Sasha Braus is a great representation of the happiness that can exist in Attack on Titan’s story. The desire and push for our favorite characters to be able to have some form of a happy ending. Sasha is a character that has the ability to bring about joy. She is a great character that really can put a smile on all of our faces. And even be able to warm all of our hearts.
Sasha has also had a lot of time to develop as a character. Sasha is a character we have been with since season 1 and we have spent a lot of time getting to know her character and watching her development. In season 2 we get to see her hometime and really understand what life was like for her before she joined the survey corps. It was neat to see this as it was something we don’t always get from characters in Attack on Titan. It lets us know that Isayama did have some thought put in when he was creating the character of Sasha to make her feel like she had the most humanity in the story.
In the final season of Attack on Titan and everything after season 2 we have started to see Sasha show how much of a badass warrior she is. She went from being afraid of titans and needing Mikasa to come and save her being able to stare down a titan with little fear and kill it. She has also become one of the greatest sharpshooters in the series. She has been very willing to aid in killing others with her fellow survey corps members and battle to protect the people on her side. Proving that she is more than just some potato loving girl. She has a lot of depth and it is for these reasons and more that we love this character.
