Freshly announced at the 2018 New York Comic Convention, DC Comics will be launching a new imprint called Wonder Comics that will be headed up by Brian Michael Bendis and be tent-poled by the relaunch of the highly popular Young Justice series. At the “Meet the Publishers” panel, Bendis described Wonder Comics as a “personally curated line of teen-focused, in-continuity comic books” that will debut early 2019.
Bendis will be writing Young Justice, starring seminal members Tim Drake/Robin, Conner Kent/Superboy, and Bart Allen/Impulse, with Patrick Gleason on art. Other titles launched on the imprint will be:
Naomi, written by Bendis and David Walker with art from Jamal Campbell
Wonder Twins, written by Mark Russell with art from Stephen Byrne
Dial H for Hero, written by Sam Humphries with art from Joe Quinones
With the highly anticipated return of the Young Justice cartoon series on DC’s exclusive streaming platform DC Universe, 2019 is looking like a great year to be a teenager in the DCU!
