Black Panther Demolished Presale Ticket Records!

You best believe the hype surrounding Black Panther, the latest Marvel superhero outing, directed by Ryan Coogler, and starring Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa! Not slated for theaters until Feb. 16, but within the 24 hours of ticket sales going live, Fandango revealed Black Panther set a record and is now the bestselling MCU movie in terms of advance tickets sales!

The story picks up after the events of Captain America: Civil War, with King T’Challa returning to Wakanda only to find that there are enemies conspiring to destroy his kingdom.   Along with the help of CIA agent Everett Ross and Wakanda’s badass special forces, the Panthers’ duty is to suit up to prevent another world war.

The stunning Black Panther trailer that focuses less on plot explication and more on being the best music video of 2018 so far.  While there’s a lot to keep track of with the sprawling, high-profile cast and the fictional geopolitics of Wakanda, this trailer was just released to give fans a taste of all that Wakanda, the Panther’s friends and enemies, have to offer the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Rumors have been circulating for a while now that the first cut of the movie had a runtime of four hours, and, based on the trailers, that wouldn’t be terrible news to see what would equate to two great movies for the price of one, but no one has been able to confirm if a 4 hour directors cut exists or not.  Stay tuned to ComicWatchComicWatch and we will keep you updated on Black Panther news.  We have a special interview with Brian Stelfreeze, artist of Marvel’s Black Panther and it will be made available as the movie draws closer.
