Marvel has released a sneak peek at its upcoming Free Comic Book Day titles, set to release on May 4. The First title, Free Comic Book Day 2024: Blood Hunt/X-Men #1 offers a look at the next big Marvel event, Blood Hunt, and then shows what’s to come after the Fall of X for the X-Men. The Blood Hunt story comes from writer Jed MacKay (who’s headlining the summer event) and artist Sara Pichelli while the Jubilee-centric X-Men story is written by Gail Simone and illustrated by David Marquez.
Alongside Blood Hunt/X-Men #1, Marvel is also releasing Free Comic Book Day 2024: Spider-Man/Ultimate Universe #1. Zeb Wells and Ryan Stegman tease the reintroduction of Green Goblin in the Spider-Man installment, while Al Ewing’s Venom gets a teaser for its next arc. For the Ultimate side of the issue, writer Deniz Camp and artist Juan Frigeri reintroduce the new Ultimates, setting up their ongoing that joins books like Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate Black Panther, and Ultimate X-Men.
In addition to these two titles, Marvel is also providing shops and fans a look into the upcoming year of Star Wars stories with Free Comic Book Day 2024: Star Wars/Darth Vader #1 from writers Charles Soule and Greg Pak with art by Ibriam Roberson and Ramon Rosanas. There will also be a new edition of Free Comic Book Day 2024: Marvel Voices that features stories from last year’s line of Voices comics and original essays about the history of Marvel. Rounding out the titles is Free Comic Book Day 2024: Spidey & His Amazing Friends #1, offering an all ages entry into the line of free titles.
