Geoff Johns announces the fourth live action series on the new DC Universe platform will be a Stargirl series from his own production company, Mad Ghost.
Joining Titans, Doom Patrol, and Swamp Thing in the live-action drama productions to be featured exclusively on the DC Universe streaming platform, Geoff Johns’ announced Stargirl at Comic-con International in San Diego, California today.
Stargirl, a character co-created by Johns (with Lee Molder) in 1999, follows the adventures of Courtney Whitmore, a younger generation superhero linked to the intricate legacy of the Justice Society of America. The series will debut with a 13-episode first season sometime in 2019.
This news comes on the tail of pricing finally being released for DC Universe this morning, at $7.99 per month, along with a special early membership offer of $74.99 for a year. DC Universe will launch this fall.
