Following the controversial firing of director/writer James Gunn from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 project, the cast of the first two films in the franchise have come out in support of Gunn’s reinstatement.
On July 20th, Disney parted ways with the director in the wake of numerous old Tweets surfacing. The Tweets have been called “indefensible” and range from pedophilia to rape in the subject matter. Gunn claims they were attempts at edgy humor, but some are not convinced or are resistant to being convinced. But the cast of the GotG films seem to be, and they issued a signed release pledging their support.
