Just this morning, we mentioned it , 20th Century Fox had released a new Deadpool 2 movie poster and now the highly anticipated Deadpool 2 movie trailer has dropped! The upcoming sequel will have our lovable Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) squaring off against Cable (Josh Brolin), a time traveling mutant freedom fighter frenemy from the future whose backstory is delightfully convoluted! The movie will also see the inclusion of Domino (Zazie Beets), who’s also maybe gunning for Deadpool!?
The upcoming sequel features director David Leitch (Atomic Blonde) stepping in behind the camera with writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick returning to pen the script. Leitch shined with his past action movies, and so it stands to reason that the set pieces in this film will also be outstanding as with Reese and Wernick’s great sense for the character, there’s no reason why the sequel can’t surpass the original. Presumably, there will be gratuitous violence and vulgarity, and good times will be had by all.
The trailer is totally Deadpool! Deadpool 2 takes shots at the mustache-removal from Justice League, flipping over to Deadpool playing with action figures, and then finally launching into the actual footage that is absolutely kick-ass! Deadpool 2 looks better than I expected and Brolin’s Cable is intriguing to say the least, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out in Deadpool 2! The film opens May 18th and also returning cast members including Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, TJ Miller as Weasel, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negazonic Teenage Warhead, and Stefan Kapi?i? as Colossus.
