Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns hint at the setting for the next installment of the adventures of the Amazing Amazon.
Though it’s been confirmed in the past that the sequel to last year’s Wonder Woman would be taking place during the Cold War, today both Geoff Johns and director Patty Jenkins seem to have confirmed that the action of the movie will take place specifically in 1984.
Johns shared the image on his Facebook earlier today while Jenkins made the image her Twitter cover photo.
Wonder Woman 2 will premiere on November 1, 2019. In a script written by Patty Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and Dave Callaham, Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, while Kristen Wiig joins her as the villainous Cheetah, in the first live-action portrayal of one of Diana’s greatest foes. Pedro Pascal has also joined the cast in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
As always, we’ll be watching!
