Sony has announced another movie to rapidly follow their upcoming Venom solo film, Silver, and Black. The film has been announced and is planned to hit theaters February 8th, 2019, approximately 3 months after the Spider-Man villain’s solo debut in October 2018. No announcements have been made as of yet to the casting of either of the titular villains, although Chris Yost (Thor Ragnarok) and Lisa Joy (Westworld) are reportedly attached as screenwriters at this time according to an anonymous source.
The movie will star Black Cat and Silver Sable in an as of now unannounced story, Black Cat AKA Felicia Hardy is a cat burglar and sometimes love interest for Spider-Man, Silver Sable is the CEO of Silver Sable international and a world-renowned mercenary who also sometimes works with the wallcrawler. The characters have crossed paths in the comics previously but no notable story comes to mind.
This release takes place within Sony’s standalone Spider-Man universe and will not be a part of the MCU as a result. Comic Watch will be releasing updates as they are announced.
