Indie Spotlight: Silver Sprocket Opens Up for Mini-Comic Submissions!

Breaking into comics can be a scary, daunting mountain to climb all on one’s lonesome, but there’s been an explosion as of late in amazing and independent focused publishers looking for hungry talent. Silver Sprocket Publishing is one of those publishers, built from the ground up with a focus on ‘zine style comics.

As per their ‘About’ page: “Silver Sprocket is a San Francisco based publisher, gallery, and retail shop championing socially conscious and independently produced comic books, graphic novels, and related arts.”

Starting August 1st, the company will open up mini-comic submissions until 11:59 PM PST on August 31st, 2023. Submissions will resume once more in Spiring 2024.

“Silver Sprocket will accept submissions for both completed and in-development mini-comics so long as the comics fall within 24 and 48 pages, are self-contained, are not prose or art books, and align with Silver Sprocket as a publisher. There will be an online portal (found via our website) where folks will be able to submit their mini comics and additional information for consideration during the submission window. Only one submission from an individual may be submitted.”

For more submission information, check out the official website here.
