Poster Boy

by Coop

Current Funding: $$44,273
Funding Goal: $5,000
Days Left: 26
Link:  Poster Boy

POSTER BOY is going to be huge (literally!) 11′ x 14″, 312 pages, this new book will focus on all of my rock and roll related work – gig posters, flyers, record covers and everything else associated with the last 40 YEARS (you read that right) that I’ve been making art.

The larger format was chosen to really show off the 250+ silkscreen prints that I’ve done over the years, with almost every one given a full page. We’ve shot new hi resolution photos of all the prints from my personal archive, and I think they’re gonna look better in print than they ever have before!

For fans of his iconic devil character, to his tour posters and other unmistakable artwork, this book is a career retrospective for the generational artist Coop, and is recommended for mature readers.

Grass to Mouth #1 A Cannabis Culture Comedy Comic

A dispensary comedy comic book about work, weed, and the thin line between chill and total disaster.

Current Funding: $4,937
Funding Goal: $3,000
Days Left: 9
Link: Grass to Mouth #1 A Cannabis Culture Comedy Comic
Grass to Mouth is a low-rent franchise dispensary in Florida, the land of alligators and flip flops. A day in the life tale featuring equal parts shenanigans, tomfoolery and ballyhoo!
Grass to Mouth is more than a Kickstarter, it’s a calling card for the uninitiated; an invitation into the world of comic books. This book is a bridge, a Bifrost of sorts, and we’re asking you to cross it with us into a place where everything’s made up and everyone has issues. If this campaign succeeds in turning even one pothead into a comic nerd, I’ll consider it a complete triumph.
The good news is that the entire story is written AND illustrated. That’s right, the guts of the book are in the can! We are in the coloring phase of the creative process. Your pledge helps us pay for the production costs and helps us meet minimum order requirements to get price breaks for printing on boutique treatments and some of the add-ons are really expensive but I felt like we NEEDED them to draw you guys in.

It’s horror.

It’s punk rock.

It’s New Hampshire mythology.

It’s witches, ghosts, old legends, Nazi punks, heartbreak, sobriety, friendship, love, and occasionally punching somebody who really deserves it.

But underneath all of that, Granite State Punk is about second chances.

What happens after you’ve screwed up?

What happens when everyone remembers the person you used to be?

What happens when YOU remember the person you used to be?

Can people actually change?

And if they can…

What the hell do you do next? Or do they not give a shit???

That’s Zeke’s story.

For the first time, GRANITE STATE PUNK #1–5 will be collected in a beautiful HARDCOVER EDITION, packed with bonus material, behind-the-scenes content, and some brand-new surprises.

And the timing couldn’t be better.

Universal Champion #1—A sci-fi comedy about our dumb brains

When an insecure wrestler gets drafted into a galactic fighting competition, he must overcome his self-doubt to become a real champion.

Current Funding: $2,948
Funding Goal: $5,000
Days Left: 24
Link: Universal Champion #1—A sci-fi comedy about our dumb brains
UNIVERSAL CHAMPION #1 is a 28-page sci-fi/comedy comic that explores things that rule (pro wrestling) and things that suck (imposter syndrome).

ick Riley is a world-famous professional wrestler. He’s sold out arenas across the globe. Stores can’t keep his merchandise in stock.

And none of that means anything to him. His self-doubt and the shadow of his even-more-famous father cause him to turn every win into a loss.

So when Rick is mistakenly abducted by aliens and thrust into a universe-wide fighting competition, he immediately says yes. Far away from his father and impossible expectations, he can finally find the type of success that leads to true contentment.

Or can he?

Universal Champion is a comedic, energetic, heartfelt love letter to sci-fi, wrestling, and the daily fight against our dumb, dumb, super-dumb brains.

Think Galaxy Quest meets The Wrestler.

It’s brought to life by George O’Connor (writer), Fernando Pinto (artist), JP Jordan (colors), and Justin Birch (letters).

And for the first issue, we have two killer variant covers from superstar Marguerite Sauvage and Marvel artist Federica Mancin! (more on these covers in a second)

Universal Champion #1 is complete!
All we need to know is how many copies to print and where to send them.

Louise Sprouse Stole My Heart

A coming-of-age hitman comic from the three time Eisner nominated cartoonist Kyle Starks (END OF LIFE, RICK AND MORTY, LOBO, PEACEMAKER

Current Funding: $20,774
Funding Goal: $12,000
Days Left: 25
Link: Louise Sprouse Stole My Heart

Archie Winters is the best hitman on the planet. A cold-hearted man who lets nothing or nobody get close.  But the last hit went wrong and now he’s on the run with a precious diamond.  Unsure where to go, he hides out at the motel where his family would summer as a kid and finds himself transported back to his youth, the memories formed here, the friendships, the bullies, the victories, the losses, the childhood loves.

But now Archie—on the run, a killer for hire with a priceless jewel—runs into that childhood love, Louise Sprouse, in the same summer tourist town he saw her last, now grown up.

And she is going to steal his heart.

A hitman coming-of-age story with tons of heart and over-the-top graphic violence

In 2020 during the pandemic, I made a digital comic based on suggestions from my fans and followers which became KARATE PROM. I liked the experiment so much I did it again in 2021 with the suggested title LOUISE SPROUSE STOLE MY HEART (AND I HAVE TWO HOURS TO GET IT BACK) which has been a pay-what-you-want comic since then.

THE BOOK IS ENTIRELY COMPLETED AND READY TO PRINT!

But I’ve always wanted it in physical form. A 48-page, full story, single shot comic doesn’t really have a place in today’s comic publishing universe so I knew one day I would have to do it myself and we’re finally doing it! I’ve re-drawn a ton of original art, added pages, made a new cover, did ton of new interior design and I toned the pages black and white with an added a pop of spot red (like Sin City). I think the toning + color came out awesome:

In the summer of 2023, Apollo City Comics launched as a publishing imprint and created a line of emotionally charged punk rock, sci-fi, stoner, political, comic book anthologies and series!

Now, Founder/CEO/Editor In Chief/ Indie Comix Warlord – Brandon Bloxdorf has teamed up with artist Chyna Rosemarea and designer/letterer Max Flowers to bring you the first entry of a three part series.

A collision of traumatic events brings four runaways together in search for a new beginning, but when bombs fall across the country by BROADCAST I.N.G. to manipulate thought patterns of consumers, the four discover they’re the only ones to stop the start of the end of the world.

FAKE YOUR DEATH is 70 pages and presented in magazine format as opposed to traditional comic book. Widening and lengthening the pages creates a dynamic range to the story and immerses the reader into the world. Plus the art looks so rad!

Fake Your Death brings together four stories of four individuals – Justine, Diamond, Nick, and Shelly – their fate to meet each other for one purpose…

When worlds come crashing around you and all seems lost, all you can want is a restart.

Unfortunately, the night these kids ran away, bombs dropped.

Cities gassed, lives changed, and the world would never be the same again.

The corporation BROADCAST I.N.G. has announced new products.
The corporation BROADCAST I.N.G. has unleashed the bombs.

They didn’t explode and kill.

They have allowed BROADCAST I.N.G. to influence the world and shape it into their own corporate utopia.

ACT ONE takes us on a journey through the moments that changed the lives of four people, bringing them together to be our only chance of a free future.
