It’s back — and better than ever!
The award-winning Kolchak: The Night Stalker – 50th Anniversary graphic novel has been out of print for a few years. We’re now putting it back in print with a new cover, new design, and new content — as was originally intended.

WHAT DID WE ADD?
HOMAGE COVER
First and foremost we have an awesome cover by EV Cantada, with coloring by Zac Atkinson, and design by Tom Napolitano. It’s an homage to the iconic Batman: The Killing Joke — We thought the connection was perfect for the photo-taking Kolchak, and it couldn’t have come out better.

NEW STORY
There’s also new content. The original graphic novel was supposed to have a bookend story that would connect all the stories in the anthology, but the artwork didn’t come in time so we scrapped. Now, with art by Cantada and words by James Aquilone, we included it the new Monstrous edition. Check out a preview below.

NEW ESSAY
Another piece that was intended for the original edition was Kolchak historian Mark Dawidziak’s essay about his friend Jeff Rice, the creator of Carl Kolchak.

NEW DESIGN
Tom Napolitano gave the interior a refresh, giving the book’s design a newspaper vibe.

Seth Green’s Freshmen: 20th Anniversary Hardcover Edition

Seth Green and Hugh Sterbakov’s superpowered tale in a collected hardcover graphic novel that includes an all-new one-shot.

Current Funding: $22,718
Funding Goal: $10,000
Days Left: 25
Link: Seth Green’s Freshmen: 20th Anniversary Hardcover Edition

Originally published in 2006, Freshmen follows a group of socially awkward college students who survive a strange laboratory accident and emerge with superpowers inspired by whatever they were thinking about at the moment of the explosion. Equal parts superhero adventure, college comedy, and coming-of-age story, Freshmen explores what happens when ordinary young people are handed extraordinary abilities without the experience, maturity, or confidence to handle them.

Twenty years after its original debut, Freshmen returns at a time when audiences have embraced more grounded and character-driven superhero stories. The series combined humor, friendship, insecurity, and genuine emotional stakes with unconventional powers and large-scale comic-book action, offering an irreverent alternative to traditional capes-and-tights storytelling.

Headlining this Kickstarter campaign is the all-new Freshmen: 20th Anniversary Reunion Special, an original 32-page comic written by series creators Seth Green and Hugh Sterbakov with artwork by original series artist Leonard Kirk. Set during the classmates’ twentieth reunion, the story reunites the original cast as they reflect on adulthood, friendship, old romances, and one hilariously disastrous mission they never quite managed to forget. The new story is included in the collection and is also available as a standalone one-shot!

Freshmen: The Complete Collection includes:

  • Freshmen, Vol. 1 – 6 issues
  • Freshmen, Vol. 2: Fundamentals of Fear – 6 issues, plus the digital-exclusive Issue #1.5
  • Freshmen Summer Vacation Special
  • All-new, 32-page Freshmen: 20th Anniversary Reunion Special
  • Plus bonus material previously printed in Freshmen Yearbook

LOBA LOCA, a graphic novel by Run and Guillaume Singelin

Legendary wrestlers become unwitting heroes in the twisted world of MFKZ

Current Funding: $47,191
Funding Goal: $7,500
Days Left: 13

After uncovering a life-changing family secret in her mother’s attic, a rebellious teen embarks on a high-octane road trip to confront the truth about her past that may define her very future.
In the sprawling chaos of Dark Meat City, seventeen-year-old Guadalupe “Guada” Mayflower is just trying to survive the mundane misery of school bullies and social media scandals. But when an explosive, caught-on-camera outburst lands her under house arrest, she starts digging through her mother’s attic and unearths a diary that shatters everything she thought she knew about her family, including the true identity of her infamous father.
Guada soon finds herself on a dangerous road trip through the city’s criminal underbelly. From legendary luchadores to ruthless underworld figures, she must navigate a world of violence and long-buried secrets to confront her past. For Guada, the search for the truth is no longer just a history lesson… it’s a desperate race to find her own future.
From the hyperactive imagination of Run (MFKZ) and Guillaume Singelin (PTSD, Frontier) comes a ball-busting character narrative that not only expands the world introduced in MFKZ, but tears it open to expose a beating, human heart. Filled with Run’s signature combination of pulp-inspired grunge and Singelin’s unique brand of cinematic, evocative illustration, LOBA LOCA is a ride you’ll want to go on again and again.
Loba Loca separates itself from the exaggerated, often bizarre world of Dark Meat City and it’s conspiracy-filled environment by focusing on the grounded, universal character-driven drama of teenage alienation and the search for identity amidst a surreal, oppressive urban backdrop. The narrative explores the weight of inherited trauma and the weight the past can impose on the present. By balancing quiet introspection with moments of sudden, urgent intensity, Guada is forced to reconcile who she was told to be with who she really is

I Love Apocalyptic Zombie Misfits! OGN by Wagner & Hillyard

Resurrected in a vat of holy motor oil, a nerdy pacifist finds himself trapped inside the hulking body of a supernatural slasher and forced to protect a psychic kid from the forces of Heaven, Hell, and everything in between.

It’s a lot to process, but at least he’s got a Halloween mask and a squad of homicidal chickens!

From the twisted minds of Doug Wagner and Daniel Hillyard (co-creators of Narco, I Was a Fashion School Serial Killer and Plastic) comes a brand new graphic novel that blends the dark comedy and horror they’re known for with a wild supernatural twist, all delivered with their signature irreverent humor.

WHAT IS THIS BOOK ABOUT?
Cecil Hackenberry used to live a quiet life making metal tchotchkes and reading to toddlers. Then he died.

Dragged back from the afterlife by a centuries-old skinwalker named Mosi, Cecil’s soul is now trapped inside the body of a supernatural killer that rips out spines and tears off limbs on instinct, whether he wants it to or not. Mosi needs him for one reason… to help protect a psychic child.

That job puts Cecil on the road with Mosi’s crew: Yoel, a foul-mouthed, roller-skating archangel, Tuck, a demolition derby driver whose soul is fused to an indestructible zombie truck, and Pavla, a sweet but powerful psychic kid who doodles her prophecies in crayon. And of course, an army of immortal murder chickens.

While protecting Pavla, Cecil struggles to control a body that kills on instinct as forces from Heaven and Hell close in. When Pavla reveals a Halloween mask could tether his soul to his body, the crew sets out to find it.

Together, these misfits roam the Nevada desert, dodging factions from both Heaven and Hell, each with their own apocalyptic plans for Earth. Mosi’s mission is simple. Keep Pavla alive. She may be the only person capable of disrupting the eternal war between good and evil.

A brand new, full-length (over 120 pages) graphic novel in the S*x, Spies, & Rock ‘n Roll universe. This is chronologically the next story in the massively successful series of anthology stories and spinoff stories.

We are releasing new graphic novels and one-shot comics in chronological order, starting with the early 1980s, for newer fans to easily jump on board.

Jon Spade is a restless playboy, eagerly spending his trust fund trying to become a rock and roll star in the early 1980s, while also driving fast cars, and bedding even faster women.
Tom Spade has just been dishonorably discharged from the Army after crossing the wrong commanding officer, who is tied to illegal arms sales in Central America.
Two brothers, whose lives are about to intersect again, and lead to major changes for both.

Oh, and their younger brother, Duke, is a Secret Agent, unbeknown to them, and just when they are just starting to heal some rifts from their dysfunctional childhood, his life as a spy threatens to cause complications.

This graphic novel follows the travails as Jon Spade’s journey deep into the world of a touring rock band, as he and his bandmates come close to achieving the dream of having a hit record. But it’s a lot harder than it looks.

Jon likes to indulge in all that the “s*x, drugs, and rock ‘n roll” lifestyle has to offer. Tom joins in on the fun but is much more guarded in his approach.
Along the way, a sexy young photographer named Susan Clark comes into their lives, adding a little more fun and spice.
