SHINKU COMPLETE

by Ron Marz & Lee Moder

Current Funding: $4,693
Funding Goal: $ 5,000
Days Left: 19
Link: SHINKU COMPLETE

SHINKU is the blood-splattered tale of a modern samurai hunting down a clan of ancient vampires in the neon-drenched streets of Tokyo. Created by writer Ron Marz and artist Lee Moder, SHINKU was hailed as an action-horror masterpiece, releasing an acclaimed five-issue collection.

Moder tragically passed away two years ago, leaving behind nearly two full additional issues of SHINKU, plus a wealth of covers, pin-ups, and designs. SHINKU COMPLETE contains the previous material, as well as all of Lee’s unpublished story pages, artwork, and explorations. It’s a bloody love letter to vampire tales, samurai stories, and a brilliant artist taken from us far too soon.

She made her first appearance in La Borinqueña #2 and then as V•G1GANTE in La Borinqueña #3. Life on Paws

A comic about love and pet grief

Current Funding: $15,878
Funding Goal: $5,000
Days Left: 20
Link: Life on Paws
My name is Sina Grace, and I’m a USA Today bestselling author and illustrator who has worked in the comic book industry for over fifteen years. I’ve worked on superhero books like DC’s Superman: Harvests of Youth and Marvel’s Iceman, as well as more intimate memoir comics like Image Comic’s Not My Bag and Nothing Lasts Forever.
All my life, I grew up wanting a dog. When I was in my mid-20s, that dream came true with Henry. He was a sweet chihuahua terrier who went everywhere with me. My floppy-eared companion fit perfectly in my life, and made me a more responsible person every day.
It was only natural that, when I lost him in 2023 after a dreadful fight with lymphoma, I turned to art to process my grief. I didn’t know what else to do with my feelings. Thinking that I couldn’t be the only one struggling to move on from a pet’s death, I poured those emotions onto the page to tell a story that I hoped could heal others. From my own experience, I knew there wasn’t a book on the stands that did what mine was doing: talking about a legitimate and very specific kind of grief that every person goes through when they make the decision to bring a pet home. In the span of putting Henry down, there were at least seven friends I had to walk through the experience of pet grief with, and thought: “Wow, I wish I could give them a book on everything so they wouldn’t feel so alone.”

However, when I submitted this book to publishers, I kept hearing the same story. “This is beautiful, I’m crying, it’s not a fit for us…” Every publisher I sent the book to gave me the kindest rejections I’ve ever experienced in my fifteen years as a published author, but I couldn’t help but think of the friends who, like me, had no template for this kind of grief.

While these setbacks caused me to literally put the project on pause, I knew I had to tell mine (and Henry’s) story even if a marketing department could not see the vision. This is a very special project, and my hope is that a Kickstarter will allow me to deliver it to the readers who need it most.

Think Quantum Leap (the original series, not the remake), if Sam happened to jump into the body of The Highlander,  and then got dragged into a sexy noir thriller.

n January, we at Green Archer Comics were excited to tell you the story of the original The Press Guardian and The Clock. But, these characters weren’t just relevant to the 1940s, in fact we think they are more relevant than ever before. Which is why we are excited to bring you the third story in The Press Guardian series.Issue #1 and Issue #2 introduced you to this bad-ass, press freedom defending, disinformation fighting, nazi punching redhead. Issue #3 continues this story as Perri Chase has to go to Hong Kong to help protect journalists being attacked by the Chinese government, while also dealing with ongoing threats back home…including to The Daily Express. Things are going to be dark as The Press Guardian has to fight her greatest rival.

We are also excited to introduce you to The Clock, the world’s only NTP-powered superhero, as she takes on the internet scammers who steal from the elderly, poor and those who can least afford to lose everything. Written by Weyodi Oldbear and illustrated by Dale DeForest this Comanche vigilante is standing up for the little guy.

These are two separate books, each with a 32-page action-packed story so you can back one or both. I do hope you will back both, because they are both great stories and two intriguing characters that live up to their namesakes!

Starfish Lovers: Ripple of Consequence

The Second Book of the Series!

Current Funding: $ 1,544
Funding Goal: $1,750
Days Left: 23
Link: Starfish Lovers: Ripple of Consequence

Starfish Lovers: Ripple of Consequence is the second installment of an LGBTQA+-friendly Fantasy Adventure novel set in the breathtaking yet perilous realm of The Seaspace. At its heart, the story explores themes of religious trauma, self-worth, and the consequences of difficult choices in a world where survival is anything but guaranteed.

In this Kickstarter, we’re excited to offer exclusive rewards, including a companion guide, reprint options from the original Kickstarter, unique trinkets, and even opportunities to leave your mark on the story itself!

This passion project first came to life as a Webcomic, dreamed up in a single-wide trailer in Florida. From a simple concept of a world where space and sea collide, it has evolved into an emotionally charged, character-driven saga.

In Ripple of Consequence, the journey continues. Pinky faces trial for defying the Sacred Law, condemned as Emrich descends into endless night. As Ziggy risks everything to free his friend from unjust imprisonment, Inke desperately seeks a way out of his pirate crew’s grip—where he is seen as nothing more than a cursed burden. But hope arrives in an unexpected form: a scholar named Lord Maximillian Malagerdos claims he can find a replacement for the stolen Sun. When Pinky overhears this revelation during Lord Malagerdos’s audience with Queen Angelina, it sets the stage for an even greater struggle—one that could change the fate of the world itself.

This is a story of love, sacrifice, and survival in a world of wonder and danger. Will Pinky reclaim his freedom? Will Inke break his chains? And is there truly a way to bring back the light?

Join us in bringing Starfish Lovers: Ripple of Consequence to life! Below, you’ll find a sneak peek at the latest pages, and don’t forget—you can read the Webcomic for free on Webtoons, Tapas, Comicfury, and Globalcomix!

Queer Anthology “Silence” 3+4: History & Fantasy

We’re back: Immerse Yourself in Wordless Adventures.

Current Funding: $6,821

Funding Goal: $ 4,992

Days Left: 26

We’re back with the next issue of Silence – this time exploring History and Fantasy!

After the incredible success of the first issue of Silence on Kickstarter, we’re returning with a new edition that further expands the boundaries of storytelling in a wordless format. For this issue, we’ve collaborated with artists from Germany, the USA and the UK, each bringing their unique perspective to historical and fantasy themes. As always, Silence is a wordless comic – action, image, and intuition are the only tools we use to convey the story.

Our goal with this series is to break down language barriers, so everyone can enjoy the story, regardless of the language they speak. Our characters are queer, and their narratives are filled with emotions that don’t need words to be understood.

In this issue, we travel through historical and fantastical worlds, where queer heroes embark on thrilling adventures and face unique challenges, no matter the era or place they inhabit.

Join us on this journey. Every contribution matters and helps us create indie comics that are open to experimentation and the joy of storytelling. Your support will help us publish this unique issue—one that delivers unforgettable experiences and celebrates queer culture in comics.
