This book  showcases sketches, commissions and process work from Joshua Sway.

“Exploring the love of pop culture, fashion, and beauty, Swayonce is a reference to Beyonce, inspired by the biggest woman in entertainment and the sense of fierceness and power that she evokes that has inspired my work. It is also a funny term that has been passed around my inner circle of friends. so for this collection of work i wanted to evoke a sense of strength, sexuality and confidence.” – Joshua Sway

When Black Sabbath (not the Beatles) became the world’s most famous band, the universe was changed, musically and otherwise. Lost arts, like Alchemy, were made common, schools taught about transfiguration and alternate science, Demons were summoned and some stuck around.

Lana LOVES music. She has played in bands all through high school and now, in college, she still plays in her ex’s fledgling metal band. She’s convinced their drummer to play her indie songs in secret. She’s finishing up the best practice yet when they are drawn into a spiritual battle to keep metal on the top of the charts.

The first miniseries was a wild ride of Daywolves, Metal Cults and hybrid creatures.

The new 3-issue mini-series has Lana and the crew taking the next step in their music journey as they head to The Silver Mountain to record their first album. Their private recording session isn’t so private when chacters new and old start trying to get in on the tracks.

Jim Starlin’s BREED Omnibus

Current Funding: $37,146
Funding Goal: $20,000
Days Left: 5
Link: Jim Starlin’s BREED Omnibus

He has taken you to the stars and beyond, now Jim Starlin takes you to Hell. Starlin’s other epic creator-owned series, Breed, is the story of Raymond Stoner, a down-on-his-luck ex-soldier who discovers his true heritage: he is the half-breed spawn a demon father and a human mother. Now Raymond must defend our world from demonic hordes, all while trying not to lose own humanity.

Half man/half demon Ray Stoner’s journey of discovery in learning more about his demonic heritage takes him through a Shaolin temple in Tibet in the mid seventies, fighting alongside Central American rebels in the eighties, encountering guest stars from across the Starlin-verse like Dreadstar, Oedi, Wyrd and Kid Kosmos, and confronting a mystical ‘Breed’ and his ‘Fathers’, who have dark designs for Earth.

Breed, like Dreadstar, came to being during a wildly transitory period in the comic book business: computers were getting added to the mix. With Dreadstar’s start we suddenly got double the number of colors we could use in a book, including never-before-available shades of gray. By the time I started laboring away on ‘Breed the computers had taken over completely on both the lettering and the coloring. Now an infinite number of hues could be utilized. I started using the computer to write Dreadstar halfway through its initial run, the scripts being handwritten before then.

But the drawing, for me, remained analog, as it does to this day. Looking back at ‘Breed is a real pleasure. I think I did some of my best ink work on that initial ‘Breed run. Having just recently reread the series, I’m still proud of the story. Even decades later I find it engaging and Raymond Stoner’s tale fascinating. I’m so pleased that we can now offer his journey to a new generation of readers and give the old fans a fancy omnibus edition to put on the ol’ bookshelf.”

Collected by Monkey Wrench Press for the first time ever in a hardcover, the Breed Omnibus contains all three Breed series, plus a wealth of extras, at more than 550 pages of Jim Starlin goodness!

All three volumes of Jim Starlin’s blood-drenched saga Breed are collected here for the very first time in this must-read 550+ page hardcover omnibus! The newly scanned and color-corrected book will feature new intros, spreads, chapter breaks, unused art and concepts.

Blood of Atlantis #1: A Modern Epic Magical Adventure

Indiana Jones meets Dungeons & Dragons when a no-nonsense alchemist searches for the secrets and power of the Lost City of Atlantis.

Current Funding: $10,514
Funding Goal: $2,000
This project successfully funded on June 27, but you can still Late Pledge for available rewards
Blood of Atlantis #1 is a 34-page modern-day globetrotting magical adventure! It’s the adventure and puzzles from Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis mixed with Dungeons & Dragons, with a dash of myth a la Gargoyles’ Avalon World Tour.

Magic is real. That’s a fact Beatrice Stallard has known for more than a decade.

It is not the magic of the storybooks though. There are no wands, no spells, no incantations. Magic, or alchemy, as it is better known, is about harnessing the energy flowing within the Earth.

Once, magic flowed across the world like a mighty river. Or sprung from the ground like an oil geyser. Or pick another natural resource metaphor, you get the idea.

No longer.

It’s been siphoned off, pilfered, used up, by those that came before.

But it’s still out there. If you know where to look. Fortunately, Beatrice does. She’s done a lot of looking. And in the process, made some powerful enemies.

But now she’s playing a different game. In her travels, trials, and tribulations, Beatrice has come across inklings and whispers that the myths of yore weren’t exactly myths.

And the big one, the one she is setting her sights on, is Atlantis, the fabled lost city that sank beneath the waves so long ago, never to be heard from again.

Or so the story goes.

Together with her business partner/wizened bartender Svetlana and a couple of newbie Questers she picked up along the way, Beatrice will traverse New York City and beyond to discover the secrets of Atlantis.

Dragons. Aliens. Immortals. Hey, it’s Chicago. Anything goes.

Big Shoulders #1 is the beginning of an awesome six-issue full-color comic series! It’s a Chicago-based fantasy where the mundane and the cosmic collide. This first issue will have 30 pages of story and 10 pages of additional content. It’s going to be an amazing adventure and your backing is going to make it happen. Those are the central characters we’ll meet in issue 1, but there are many more to come. The storyline will build in scale and complexity across the series, and we’re planning to collect it into a graphic novel when it’s completed. Every issue will be in full color with plenty of extra artwork and behind-the-scenes material.

Apocalyptic Horseplay Volume 1

The collected first volume of the hit webtoon by Boredman.

Current Funding: $10,936
Funding Goal: $3000
Days Left:  25

Greetings to all you yearning, tethered souls, and welcome back to all my fellow meatsacks!

I am (still) Boredman, author of UndeadEd and Apocalyptic Horseplay, two webcomics currently available on Webtoon and set in the same monster-infested universe, and I am currently on a quest to finally bring these stories back together into the physical plane. As BOOKS!

Yes, physical books! Or, as the youngest among you may have come to know them, those mystical wireless objects composed of razor-thin flippable leaves that WILL cut right into your fingers if you don’t handle them with respect.

As an avid collector of these paper-filled antiquities myself, I was ecstatic and extremely grateful to see the stories of UndeadEd and his friends finally brought forth into the material world and onto so many shelves last year (including my own, of course).

But now the bookcases have grown hungry again. The Horsemen and their cohort have been dispatched, and the call must once more be answered…

So, if you have yet to discover Ed and the Horsemen’s deliciously bleak, monstrous and not-so-little world, then you’ve come to the very best place. And if you already were one of my faithful and ever-so-patient readers clamoring for your very own copy to love, well… You can stop asking now. Seriously, stop it. I heard you the first time.
