Marvel/DC cover artist Jeehyung Lee has launched the Kickstarter campaign for the final chapters of his new horror comic GUMAA – The Beginning of Her.
GUMAA – which means “exorcism” in Korean – tells the story of a young Khalida’s escape from drugs and prostitution and her transformation into the high priestess of a cult warring against infected humans called MAAGI.
Lee, who has built an international following for his beautiful and dramatic cover art, drew inspiration from films like Constantine and The Dark Knight when creating this dark supernatural thriller. The final issues bring the conflict to an exciting conclusion as Khalida faces off against her young nemesis, a combat-trained warrior with a hidden connection to Khalida’s past.
