1. It is okeh to love someone’s work, but not care for one or three of their particular works.
2. If you are not the paying boss of an artist, you are not the boss of that artist.
3. Everybody’s a critic and everybody’s a star.
4. You can be very critical of something or someone you love, and still love.
5. Trudging through entertainment you dislike does not make you a better anything.
6. There is nothing wrong with being ambivalent towards an artist or a piece of entertainment.
7. Everyone is ministering to a child at play.
8. No law or person can stop or uncanonize the story or characterization you have in your mind.
9. You do not have to agree with anyone’s analysis of entertainment, but they do not need to buy into your counter.
10. Eventually, you will be missing important information.
11. Artists, audiences, art are flawed.
12. Enjoy what you enjoy. Love what you love.
13. Hating a work of art, hating an artist, will not make you a better fan or bigger person.
