Marvel unveiled the next in Elektra’s journey as Daredevil with a new Woman Without Fear miniseries, set for a July release. The limited series, which spins out of the events of Saladin Ahmed and Aaron Kuder’s Daredevil #11, sees writer Erica Schultz return to the character after Daredevil: Gang War. She’s joined by former Hallows’ Eve collaborator Michael Downling as they pit Daredevil against Marvel figures like Crossbones, the New Punisher, and more while in Madripoor.
In the press release, Schultz spoke about returning to the character, stating:
“To say that I am excited about writing Daredevil again is an understatement. I love the mantle of Daredevil, but I really love Elektra as Daredevil. Having written both Matt and Elektra wearing the red DD, I kind of lean toward the latter now!”
Elektra finds herself in Madripoor after her and Matt’s knockdown, drag out fight with Bullseye and Kingpin in Daredevil #11. That continues her mission as she’s on the rocks with Murdock, who’s still sorting his post-Hell life while grappling with the burdens of the hornhead mask.
