DC announced that it is collaborating with Max to for a new video podcast, DC Studios Showcase: The Official Podcast. Hosted by Frankey Smith and Tyler Coates, along with on-air comic correspondent Coy Jandreau, the series will follow all of DC’s biggest stories, including updates and insights into the budding DC Studios’s slate. The podcast is set to air biweekly on Fridays, starting with December 6 just in time for the launch of Creature Commandos.
Alongside updates from DC Studios projects, the podcast is set to include exclusive interviews with talent in front and behind the camera of these shows and movies, a recurring comic segment, and an exploration of DC’s history.
In the press release, Becky Rho, Senior Director of Podcast Production at HBO and Max, discussed the inspiration for the podcast, stating:
“The Max podcast team is committed to creating new ways to immerse fans deeper into our iconic IP and programming. This exciting new podcast allows us to partner with DC and DC Studios to create a platform that offers the fandom a never-before-seen look at all-things DC, as well as an in-depth look into the minds, insights and experiences of the key figures shaping the DC Universe.”
The video version of the podcast will be available on Max and Youtube, while audio only episodes can be found on all podcast platforms.
