DC revealed that its digital comic subscription service, DC Universe Infinite, is expanding to Europe and Latin America. As of today, the service now operates in France, Italy, Germany and Spain, joining Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. On December 16, it will become available in Brazil and Mexico as well. The announcement follows the release of the DC GO comics, a Webtoons style vertical reading imprint.
DC Senior Vice President and General Manager Anne DePies spoke about the expansion, stating:
“Bringing DC UNIVERSE INFINITE and DC GO! to fans worldwide has been a top priority as we continue to connect with our global audience with access to DC’s iconic Super Hero content. Providing a subscription platform offering our vast library of comics gives fans around the world a unique opportunity to access their favorite stories at their fingertips, anytime, anywhere.”
DC Universe Infinite currently houses approximately 30,000 issues from DC, Vertigo, Mad Magazine along with digital exclusives. New issues in English are added to the service six months after their retail release, with exceptions for specific titles like the Absolute Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman debuts. Signing up in the first 30 months for the Ultra tier results in a 15% discount for the series.
