Marvel revealed the all-star line-up of covers for the upcoming Deadpool relaunch from writer Cody Ziglar and artist Rogê Antônio. The volume, which launches in April, is set to introduce a new archenemy, Death Grip, for the Merc with a Mouth while ratcheting up the drama thanks to the return of Ellie, Deadpool’s daughter. The description marks a pivot from the last two Deadpool runs, which were much more romance and monster centered.
Cody Ziglar spoke about their approach to the title, stating:
“Wade’s been one of my favorite characters since I first got into super hero comics, so being asked to helm a Deadpool series was a dream come true. I look forward to diving into and exploring Wade’s family (found or otherwise), his unique approach to being a (mostly) unkillable mercenary, as well see what kinda of whackos they bring into his orbit.”
To commemorate the launch, over ten variant covers will be available at launch alongside Taurin Clarke’s main cover. Artists like Ryan Stegman, Jan Bazaldua, and Rob Liefeld are just a few of the variant illustrators. The full set of covers can be seen below.
