Donny Cates is without a doubt one of Marvel’s superstar writers. So when he asserted that, “We don’t lightly call a book ‘Infinity Wars.’ This is a big, big event. So far as ramifications are concerned, hang on.” at San Diego Comic Con during the Next Big Thing panel on Saturday, the upcoming Infinity War event gained another surge of interest with fans and industry insiders.
Cates who is currently writing Death of Inhumans, Venom, and Ghost Rider isn’t assigned to the primary series but assures fans that Marvel’s upcoming storyline will be nothing short of “Game changing.”
Infinity Wars Prime introduces Marvel’s newest big bad Requiem and will rock the current Marvel landscape with the death of a major Marvel character.
Infinity Wars Prime #1 will hit retailers shelves on July 25th with Infinity Wars #1 to follow on August 1st. The series will be written by Gerry Duggan with art by Mike Deodato Jr.
