Details begin to emerge from DC Universe on the up and coming TV Series Doom Patrol. DC Universe announced that Brendan Fraser is cast as Robotman.
It was announced earlier that Canadian-America actor Brendan Fraser, best known for playing Rick O’Connell in the Mummy Trilogy (1999, 2001 and 2008) will be playing Robotman in the up and coming series Doom Patrol for DC Universe.
Doom Patrol first appeared in 1963 in My Greatest Adventure. Doom Patrol is considered to be a group of misfits, loners by the general public. Robotman is a founding member of the gang appearing in all six Doom Patrol series. Before Cliff Steele became Robotoman, he was a daredevil and a race car driver. Cliff had a tragic accident in the Indianapolis 500 destroying his body. They put Cliff’s intact brain into a robot allowing him to live. Cliff often suffered from depression as he felt he was less than a human.
