Dutch Returns to Shelves in New Miniseries Starring the Golden Age Image Supersoldier

Image reveals that a character from the publisher’s golden era, Dutch, returns for a prologue issue hitting shelves today. Dutch #0, written by Joe Casey with art by Nathan Fox, teases the further adventures of the character, which will launch in a new three issue miniseries from Image in February 2024. The series, which features interior art by Simon Gane, will follow the supersoldier battling enemies from his past while trying to regroup with former allies.

In the press release, writer Joe Casey discussed the direction of the new series:

“Believe me when I say, Dutch #0 is just the beginning. This new miniseries with the great Simon Gane is the next, white-hot phase of something much bigger—maybe the biggest, most expansive story I’ve ever told at Image Comics. Personally, I can’t wait for readers to see the mayhem that Simon and I are cooking up, taking the classic Image action aesthetic and launching it into the next decade!”

Image has also revealed the first three covers for issue one, from artists Gane, original creator Chap Yaep, and Nick Pitarra. All three covers can be seen below:

Dutch #1 will be available in comic shops and  many digital platforms on Wednesday, February 14.
