This weekend, Comic Watch caught up with David Mack (Kabuki, Daredevil) at the Comic Con Honolulu 2019 where Mack revealed that this week, he and Brian Michael Bendis are headed to Los Angeles to take meetings on creating a television series based on their recent Jinxworld collaboration, Cover.
Cover tells the tale of a comic book artist named Max who is drawn into a world of international intrigue as a pawn for the CIA. Inspired by Mack’s work with the State Department, Cover was initially a six-issue run released on the creator-owned DC Comics imprint Jinxworld and was recently collected into a single volume, on sale now. For more on my thoughts regarding this ground-breaking series, you can check out my review of the first issue here.
Stay tuned to Comic Watch for further news as this project develops and for the full interview, coming soon!
