Legendary Entertainment is proud to announce their newest YA Graphic Novel, LUPINA BOOK TWO: WANE by series creators writer James Wright and artist Li Buszka.

Set in an expansive world and mythology these two books will tug at readers’ heartstrings as Lupa and Coras go on a journey of self-discovery and revenge. In Book One, after a brutal attack orchestrated by the empress, Salkis, on her village of Kote, newly orphaned Lupa Moondottir is rescued by the she-wolf, Coras

Together the pair embarked on a long journey that would lead them into the maw of danger, seeking answers and vengeance in equal measure,in hopes of ending Salkis’ century-long reign. As Lupa ages, her bond with Coras grows ever stronger, and with it her connection to the eight aspects of the moon goddess, Lupina.

Her quest has led her to the gates of the mysterious Inner Light monastery, whose monks have been awaiting Lupa, and others like her, for some strange and difficult purpose.

Book Two picks up after years of growing up in the wild, Lupa finally encounters her destiny and finds her tribe. Each young woman represents a different aspect of the same goddess, and each of them will have to learn to work together to save their world! Far in the mountains, the monks at the monastery welcomed Lupa into a world she never expected and introduced her to her true sisters.

As Lupa uncovers the secrets of her past, where she comes from, and who she is, she finds herself entangled in a story bigger than she could imagine. From the evil empress Salkis to the imprisoned goddess Corasina – the fullness of Lupa’s destiny becomes clear!
James F. Wright (he/him) is a queer, Black comics writer based in L.A. who has written such works as the coming-of-age culinary crime series, Nutmeg with Jackie Crofts, the Eisner Award-nominated sci-fi romance short, Contact High with Josh Eckert, and had his writign published by IDW, Iron Circus Comics, Ascend Press, and contributed to the anthologies ELEMENTS: Fire, ELEMENTS: Earth, FTL Y’all, and You Died.

 

Li Buszka illustrates for passion project LUPINA, a comic brainchild created with writer James F. Wright. In 2018 they contributed artwork to the comic anthologies Comic Book Slumber Party: Escape From Bitch Mountain and Mine! : A Comics Collaboration to Benefit Planned Parenthood.

Martin F. Clinch (he/him) is a transgender artist and graduate of Herron School of Art and Design. His previously published work has included The Magic Wives comics with writer Greg Thelen, and illustrations for Eanna Press.

Bex Glendining (she/they) is a biracial queer, UK based illustrator, comic artist and colourist, hen not working they can usually be found building gundams, playing video games with friends or cuddling their cat.

Frank Cvetkovic is a comic book letterer who hates when people assume that all he does is put words in bubbles. There’s a little more to the job than that. For instance, sometimes, he puts them in boxes. His work can be seen in Blink, Count Crowley: Reluctant Midnight Monster Hunter, Cyberpunk 2077: Blackout, and The Airless Year.
