Studios today revealed a first look at a brand new original graphic novel based in the world of Eisner Award-winning author Hope Larson and GLAAD Award-nominated illustrator Brittney Williams’ highly acclaimed series Goldie Vance. Written by Jackie Ball (Welcome to Wanderland), illustrated by Mollie Rose (Steven Universe: Harmony), colored by Natalia Nesterenko, and lettered by Jim Campbell, GOLDIE VANCE: LARCENY IN LA LA LAND, features the return of everyone’s favorite young detective in a brand new mystery with all the glitz, glamor, and giant secrets you’d expect from a Hollywood mystery, available in stores July 2020.
Teen sleuth Goldie, and her friends Diane and Cheryl, fly to sunny Los Angeles for the trip of a lifetime! While Cheryl pursues her dreams of going into space, and Diane continues her work as a remote scout for a music label, Goldie spends her days getting lost in the haze of old Hollywood, first by befriending a silent film star whose golden days are long behind her, and then by taking on a case of stolen film memorabilia. But when it becomes clear that this case is just part of a larger pattern, it’s up to Goldie to get to the bottom of this show-biz conspiracy.
