Deadpool director Tim Miller is working on a solo film about the feisty mutant, Kitty Pryde, also known as Shadowcat, and sources confirm the film to currently be in the early stages of development by at Disney/20th Century Fox!
Kitty Pryde was last seen played by Ellen Page in X-Men: Days Of Future Past and has up to now been a side-kick character in the X-Men movies, but now Tim Miller is pushing for Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat to have her own feature film. Prydes’s powers include a phasing ability with objects and people, as well as disrupting electrical fields and levitation. If the film does make it to the big screen, it will add pace to the growing trend for female-led superhero motion pictures which is starting to emerge, with the likes of X-Men: Dark Phoenix with Sophie Turner as Jean Grey aka the Dark Phoenix! As more and more female led superhero movies are under development, such as Captain Marvel, rumors of Harley Quinn getting her own movie in the DC Cinematic Universe, and many others!
