At a retailer’s lunch during San Diego Comic-Con, Diamond Comics revealed that Greg Capullo is returning to Marvel with three confirmed covers for upcoming titles. This will be the first time in decades the artist has provided artwork for the house of ideas. This comes off the heels of Capullo’s seminal run on Batman and mega-events Dark Knights: Metal and Death Metal, along with creator owned works like We Have Demons for Comixology.
The first cover for Marvel will be a variant for the upcoming Wolverine #37 this September, followed by covers for two one-shots in November; Deadpool: Seven Slaughter #1 and Superior Spider-Man #1. The latter two announcements come as the publisher has shared more information about the one-shots, which have been light on details thus far.
