DC announced the return of the Justice League during the Absolute Power Panel at San Diego Comic Con. Justice League Unlimited, which spins out of DC’s summer blockbuster event, comes from writer Mark Waid and Dan Mora. At the panel, Mora’s cover for issue one and sketches for a new Watchtower were revealed, which can be seen below. The book will mark the return of the flagship team, which has been disbanded in universe since the start of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths.
As part of the All In initiative, Justice League Unlimited features an interesting starter roster based on the cover, including Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Star Sapphire, Captain Atom, The Flash, Black Lightning, and The Atom (Ryan Choi according to Mora on X). The series pulls its name from the seminal cartoon adaption of the comics, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. That show saw a larger, rotating cast for the superteam, and based on the hints given at the panel and social media, the book may also feature additions to its line-up.
