Marvel president Kevin Feige has revealed in an interview that Marvel are actively pursuing the development of a movie from the comic based property.
Feige revealed this information in an exclusive interview with TheWrap saying that The Eternals is one of many projects that Marvel is in active discussions about currently.

“‘Eternals’ is one of many many many things that we are actively beginning to have creative discussions about to see if we believe in them enough to put them on a slate,” Feige said Sunday while promoting this week’s “Avengers: Infinity War.”
“We have started working on what are the films post-phase 3,” he said, referencing the forthcoming fourth part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s slate of movies after the wind-down of franchises based on the original Avengers.
But who are the Eternals? They are an ancient race of humans who the Celestials took and accelerated the evolution of a handful of subjects and gave them the genetic potential to mentally manipulate limited quantities of cosmic energy, as well as other superhuman traits. They were created in 1976 by Jack Kirby and are a lesser known group when compared with Thanos who is their most famous member.
In light of the hype juggernaut that is in full motion with the arrival of Avengers: Infinity War on the big screen, it is not really surprising that these stories should come up and in fact Feige’s comments were made during a press promotion for the Film that arrives at the box office in the next few days.
It remains to be seen if The Eternals will make it to the big screen. Feige has his hands very full right now as the studio is focusing its efforts on the upcoming film, is looking to complete Antman and Wasp as well as Captain Marvel, edit an as yet untitled Avengers movie and start shooting Spider-Man in July.
