ICYMI: DC Comics announced the return of their longest-running team-up comic, World’s Finest, from comics legend, Mark Waid (Daredevil, Flash, JLA, Captain America) and current rising star artist, Dan Mora (Detective Comics, Once & Future, Go-Go Power Rangers), who’s coming in hot off of his current fan-favorite run on Detective Comics, with Mariko Tamaki. This series will launch due to events that are transpiring directly from Tamaki and Mora’s Detective Comics #1050, and heading into the Tamaki helmed Shadow of the Bat event, due in January 2022.
This is Waid’s first ongoing title with DC in over a decade, and he’s getting the chance to play with the very two superheroes that launched the capes and tights genre of American comics. If you know anything about Waid, you’ll know he’s a huge Superman fan, as well as one of the foremost authorities on DC Comics continuity, so a gig like this should be a dream come true.

This project will not only have covers from Mora himself, but DC will enlist a bevy of all star artists, like Jim Lee, Evan ‘Doc’ Shaner, Lee Weeks, ArtGerm, and Chip Zdarsky, to join in with variant covers all their own. You can check them out below.
