In a week that continues to shake the comics community and just days after the shocking death of John Cassaday, this morning it was announced that Karl Moline, fan-favorite artist best known for his work at CrossGen Comics and titles such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Rogue, and many more comics, has passed away.

Creator Ron Marz who was Moline’s studiomate at CrossGen posted the following on his Twitter social media account the following:
Moline will be remembered for his on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spinoff Fray, the futuristic reimagining of the Buffy-verse he co-created with Joss Whedon. He was also one of the many artists involved with CrossGen Comics, the publisher that lit up the comic book industry from the late ’90s into early 2000s along with Scion and the horror book Route 666.
Following the closure of CrossGen, he returned to mainstream comics providing pencils on a 2004 run of Marvel’s Rogue and collaborating with then-writer C. B. Cebulski on the limited series The Loners for Marvel and other series such as DC Comics R.E.B.E.L.S and Convergence: Superboy.
The cause of death and when it happened has not been disclosed at this time.
