Veteran Industry Inker, Victor Llamas, Passes Away at 41.

Comic industry inker Victor Llamas passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 from medical complications after a prolonged stay in hospital.

Victor Llamas made his mark in the comic book industry due to his role as part of Marc Silvestri’s Top Cow lineup allowing Llamas to ink for artists such as Silvestri, David Finch, Billy Tan, and Joe Benitez. In addition to working on Top Cow titles such as The Darkness, Witchblade, and Aphrodite IX, he inked over fellow Top Cow alums on titles such as Batman, G.I. Joe, X-Men, and Star Wars: Republic.   Llamas’ most recent work was as an inker on Benitez’s Wraithborn Redux.

Llamas is survived by his wife, Amy, and three children: Alec, Chase, and Emily.  A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist them with a memorial service for Victor, as well as family finances.

“Your Donations will help with Memorial services and Family finances. Amy plans to move her and the kids back to California to be closer to friends and family. Amy and the kids have been strong over the last couple of months that Victor was hospitalized. As you can imagine this is not only emotionally but also financially taxing and will need our help. Every little bit helps, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.”
