This last Saturday, we had the luck of chatting with Robbie MacNiven about his book First Team: A Marvel; Xavier’s Institute Novel, its choice of characters, and the themes of family and self-acceptance.
The conversation gradually turned to the process of writing the books, as Robbie spoke of how he obtained the opportunity to write an X-Novel and his focus on character-driven stories. He explained how his experience with other tie-in novels prepared him for writing in the X-world but that the novel continuity differed from the comics.
