Following the events of the Disney+ series Falcon & Winter Soldier (2021), Anthony Mackie returns to wield the coveted shield in Marvel Studios‘ Captain America: Brave New World, the fourth installment of the franchise and the first since Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers bid farwell to the superhero life in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

Marvel has released the first trailer for the upcoming film which is scheduled to land in theaters on February 14, 2025.

As seen in the above teaser, Mackie’s Sam Wilson, previously known as The Falcon, finds himself recruited by newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (Harrison Ford’s Marvel Cinematic Universe debut) to fill the Captain vacancy left by Steve Rogers.
In addition to Mackie and Ford, Captain America: Brave New World will star Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake Nelson.
The film is directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore. Louis D’Esposito and Charles Newirth serve as executive producers.
