The end of a wild journey arrives this week as Boom! Studios’ Wild’s End concludes.
Dan Abnett and I.N.J. Culbard’s anthropomorphic sci-fi series Wild’s End comes to a conclusion this week with the third and final volume of the series, titled Journey’s End. Wild’s End is set in the 1930s and is about a sleepy English community called Lower Crowchurch which falls victim to an alien invasion, akin to War of the Worlds. The first two volumes of the series – First Light and The Enemy Within – dealt with the initial alien invasion and the paranoia that resulted from the invasion. In this final volume, the survivors of the invasion come together for a final, all-out battle against the invading alien force.
A powerful series about people coming together – or splitting further apart – in the name of survival, Wild’s End is a great series for fans who savor slow-build drama.
