Kingpin Dances with the Devils in June’s GIANT-SIZED DAREDEVIL #1

Marvel revealed the next big showdown in its year of celebration for the Giant-Sized line with the upcoming Giant-Sized Daredevil #1. Written by Saladin Ahmed with art by Paul Davidson, the one-shot pits Matt Murdock against his arch-foe, Kingpin. As Daredevil battles the released seven deadly sins, the horrors seek to inhabit Wilson Fisk and propel him to stalk the nights of Hell’s Kitchen this June.

This makes a departure for Fisk’s current status quo, which has been restrained as the legitimate White King of the Hellfire Club. Thanks to his marriage with Typhoid Mary, Fisk also stands with the soon to be crumbled mutant nation of Krakoa, and helped to bring peace to New York as it boiled into its Gang War

In the press release, Saladin Ahmed discussed centering the one-shot on Fisk, stating:

“I’ve always loved villain POV stories, and Wilson Fisk has the ultimate street level villain POV! We went really big and bloody with this, bringing KINGPIN back in a huge way, and I can’t wait for fans to check it out.”

Continuing the trend established by the previous Giant-Sized one-shots, a reprint of a seminal Daredevil comic will be published, this time being Daredevil #170 by Frank Miller. Bryan Hitch illustrates the cover to the issue, also continuing the pattern set by the line. That Hitch cover can be seen below.
