Kickstarter isn’t the only place indie creators go to fund their projects and we here at Comic Watch  want to highlight and support those projects across the various platforms

We especially want to spotlight those projects that still need a push along with those stretch goals.

Below is a brief synopsis of the project; for more details and to support the projects,  click on the link to the campaign page.

No one’s getting out alive if Clarence the Cleaver has anything to say about it! It’s in your felt puppet horror action the way you always wanted it!

It’s in your felt puppet horror action the way you always wanted it! Help us bring puppet horror to the masses by supporting our project!

Horror has been such an important genre for centuries. People have always attempted to face their fears through words on the pages. It’s such a wide and wonderful reflection of humanity. We wanted to pay tribute to all the great pieces of horror literature and film that have come before us, and Cartoon Puppet Horror Theater gives us a vessel to do that!

We’ve brought dimension-hopping fun like in Quantum Leap, Sliders, and even Exiles to the horror masses, and the trip’s just getting started! Grab a seat down front, put some extra butter on your popcorn, and enjoy the show!

Current Funding:  $15,203
Funding Goal: $ 5,000
Days Left: 26
Link: The Other Happy Place – Chapter 0

The Other Happy Place will be an illustrated prose novel, with a picture on just about every page. A hybrid between a comic, a novel, and a picture book.
The story concerns Vinnie, a young woman who travels to another dimension run by bizarre, otherworldly beings. Vinnie is exploring and trying to stay alive, while documenting her adventure in the form of a journal.

The book has come together beautifully, with lore and story bits that I can’t wait to share. My narrative partner and I have such incredible upcoming ideas for the larger story that I was literally shakey with excitement to get to make the stuff we were talking about!

It’s the role of a lifetime.
What happens when a supervillain dies on the job or just gets too old for this $#!+ and retires? Well, somebody’s gotta step up and put on the mask. And actors have to work, don’t they

A down-on-his luck actor. An impossible-to-pass-up opportunity. In a world where superheroes and supervillains are real and also the biggest business in the world — we’re talking movies, TV shows, toys, video games, even Broadway — shadowy employers have ample reason to keep them fighting no matter what.

So what happens when a supervillain dies on the job, or just gets too old for this $#!+ and retires? Well, somebody’s gotta step up and put on the mask. And actors have to work, don’t they? Especially if they’re slumming around doing kids birthday parties, and there are enough zeroes in the check. This series is literally 20 years in the making, so your help can finally bring it to life!

The main Feature is the supernatural mystery I EAT MONSTERS, in which 9-year-old Annabelle witnessed her brothers being brutally murdered by a ‘monster from under the bed’. She tried to fight back with the only weapon she had – her teeth. The encounter changed her life in more ways than one. 17-years later, Annabelle is looking for answers as to why her family was targeted.

It is the comic that asks ‘what if eating monsters temporarily gave you superpowers’.

The fourth and final team-up book! In a story so big it needs EVERYBODY. Who’s the Big Bad? Certainly not Krampus. Holly’s onetime mentor is a single-minded, sadistic anti-Santa intent on spreading misery, but his only “power” is a razor-barbed whip. It’s not like he found a source of unlimited — uh-oh.

Slaughterhouse Farm

Blood. Death. Pigs. Grindhouse horror graphic novel.

Current Funding:  $1,076
Funding Goal: $2,427
Days Left: 18
Link: Slaughterhouse Farm

Slaughterhouse Farm is a blood-soaked love letter to the grindhouse horror classics of the ’70s and ’80s. The horror of The Hills Have Eyes or Texas Chain Saw Massacre relocated to the isolated mountains of North Wales. There is tongue-in-cheek humour and a mysterious plot to be uncovered — but this comic is still as nasty as hell, with decapitations, impalement’s and dismemberment’s to keep gore hounds satisfied.

The story begins with Frankie and Julian taking a minibus full of troubled teens for a weekend in Snowdonia — but horror is literally waiting round the bend in the twisted form of Pigfucker
