This comic anthology adapts some of Maui’s beloved tales and histories, called mo?olelo, which contain many wisdoms, parables, and lessons. The combination of the word mo?o, which means a series or succession, and ??lelo, meaning words, are the stories and histories of Hawai?i. Mo?olelo were told to preserve Hawaiian histories, concepts, beliefs, idioms, proverbs, poetry, and more.
Maui Strong celebrates a centuries-old cultural tradition the way it used to be done, with a mo?olelo and a chant., focusing specifically on the island of Maui, with local talent including: Tom Bacon, Mark Gould, Blaze Ho?omakoa, Brooke Hutchins, Jillian Ikehara. For the first time, a collection of lavishly painted, fully colored, and black and white pencil and ink illustrations by one of comics’ masters of the form, Mike Grell, is being made available. In association with Grell’s Masterstroke Studios, and assembled from the rarest of pieces of art culled from private collections of fans, this is a definitive examination of Grell’s most iconic characters in epic illustrations.
This will be a deluxe oversized hardcover book, with high-quality page stock and colors. We are pulling out all the stops to make this something amazing and special!

In 2020, rock god Nick Dillion will step off the stage for the final time, ending his 37 year career as the head of metal band Gods of Brutality. The GoB, as they’re known to fans, has sold over 70 million records worldwide, and is about to release their final album, completing the story they set out to tell 37 years before. In his final interview, Nick Dillion reveals that when he died for a minute and 24 seconds in 1984, he was actually in hell, where he was tortured by demons. In an act of desperation, Nick prayed to any god that would listen to him. Thankfully, his pleas were answered when Thor and Hercules were dispatched to save him. Gods of Brutality follows Nick, Thor, and Hercules as they navigate an escape from the underworld!

The fate of Democracy hangs in the balance!
It’s 2024 and the embattled President Donut is struggling in his bid to save the republic from the maniacal former President Cheeseburger, who remains wildly popular despite attempting to overthrow the government, donut shops everywhere and spouting crazy, nasty things. Can the Donut rise to the challenge and save democracy( as well as the freedom to choose your own donuts)?
Donut & The Cheeseburger no.1 is a satirical take on the election of 2024, featuring 20 full page, full-color comics written and drawn between November 23 and late April 2024-almost half-way through the election year. A follow-up is planned for Dec. 2024, after the election( assuming the country hasn’t descended into anarchy and we’re all not running for our lives).
In keeping with its up-to-the minute timely theme, this comic comes in a tabloid newspaper format, printed on newsprint in the grand tradition of newspaper comics, just as the universe intended.(This won’t be my first go-round with newsprint; I was co-publisher of the over-sized newspaper comics anthology , “pood” back in 2010-11)
