Most of this survival story will be uniquely seen through our hero’s literal point of view. We’ll see what the mangaka sees, and if I did my job right, we’ll feel what she feels. I think people will be on the edge of their seats with this story; it’s chaotic, violent, and unrelenting throughout. Fans of Godzilla Minus One, Alien, and Ultraman will find something to love here. The unique perspective on the kaiju battle and its ramifications on everyday people, all brought to life by Lur Noise’s incredible art, make this book hard to put down until that very last page is read

Boy’n’Sea – Action/Comedy About Life at Sea
When you realize there’s nothing left to do on land, the only adventure that makes sense is stealing a big ass boat
What do you do when your world is too small? Simple; you make it bigger. This is a story about a boy on the verge of turning 7 who is convinced his story must already be over.
So, he steals a boat.
What follows is a mix of comedy and adventure as this narrative-obsessed child must brave a storm, take down an enemy rat and face up to how much bigger his life can be now that he is on the open seas.
This comic was made at a messy time in my life. I was getting divorced, I was moving to two new countries at the same time, I was drastically shifting the kind of books I was making…this comic represents the end of SQUARE PLANET COMICS (my old imprint) and the beginning of my own much more exciting adventure. But that means it is also the only title that fell in the cracks and never made it to print.
This is a standalone story, the could very well serve as a pilot for a much larger series, but instead is a marker for the start of an adventure we will never see. But isn’t that the best kind? Isn’t it better to know there’s a boy in a stolen ship out there somewhere slaying dragons, fighting mobsters or outrunning the law?
Presented in landscape format, this is a black and white, hand drawn, hand lettered comic that embraces a cartoonish sensibility while diving deep into the nature of storytelling and the deep need within all of us to live a life of meaning
ANTIMATTER
A One-Man-thology of Dean Haspiel Deep Cuts
In Spring of 2023, I launched a self-publishing concern focusing on a series of crowdfunded “Deep Cuts” from my personal pantheon of creator-owned characters, featuring COVID COP, BILLY DOGMA + JANE LEGIT, THE RED HOOK, and CHEST FACE. In Spring of 2026, I will be launching a one-man anthology called “Dean Haspiel’s ANTIMATTER.” From superhero to semi-autobio, ANTIMATTER flexes a sublime synergy of sequential art for mature readers.
“Dean Haspiel’s ANTIMATTER” is inspired by groundbreaking one-person comix anthologies by the likes of Dan Clowes‘ EIGHTBALL, Jessica Abel’s ARTBABE, and Adrian Tomine’s OPTIC NERVE but with a twist. Imagine if Jack Kirby owned all the characters he created and co-created for Marvel and DC Comics. From Captain America and The Hulk to The Fantastic Four and the New Gods. Now imagine Kirby launching a series called ”Kirby Krackle,” featuring new stories from any combination of his characters. Imagine picking up an issue featuring The Thing, Captain Victory, Mister Miracle and Big Barda. How cool would that be?
The debut of ANTIMATTER will feature “Covid Cop Insurrection.” While battling Admiral Amok’s horrific hybrids of America’s most coveted icons in Times Square, Lincoln Bio and Fate Majeure recruit what’s left of humanity, including the only two people immune to the deadly virus, to storm the United States Capitol to end President Pestilence’s evil reign, in hopes of starting a new society only to discover the world’s weirdest escape plan.
ANTIMATTER will also showcase the rise of AI Joe, the street beat of The Red Hook – and more!
